“It’s quite a surreal feeling. I’m grateful for the support, especially playing in Bangalore. The crowd chanting my name is something I will never take for granted. I dreamed of it when I was a kid. Very happy to be here, I was lucky it worked out. Six to 12 months ago I wasn’t even in the frame. It’s good to get the job done and make the playoffs .Pretty lucky to have come here as a teenager for club tours. It helped me a lot. Nice wickets to bat for. If you play positive cricket you get rewarded. The guys have adapted well. You talk to Kane, Devon, who are legends,” Rachin said.

After the match against Sri Lanka, where Ravindra scored 42 runs, he spoke about idolizing the Kiwi skipper. Kane Williamson.

“It’s funny. I idolized Kane. I idolized a lot like Virat Kohli, Steven Smith, Joe Racine. But Kane… his leadership, on and off the field, keeps things calm. When you’re young, you get into the game, you’re lucky to have succeeded,” he said.
