Thomas Haden Church Reveals If He Would Play Sandman Again for Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man 4’


Could Sam Raimi finally get his chance Spider-Man 4? Thomas Haden Church recently revealed his desire to return as Sandman in a potential sequel.

Thomas Haden Church has always been beloved as Marvel’s Sandman, even though he only played the character in Spider-Man 3 And Spider-Man: No Way Home. Fortunately, the actor managed to redeem his tragic villain in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw him drawn into the Marvel Cinematic Universe through multiversal shenanigans. When asked if he would play Sandman again, Church revealed that he would love to work with Sam Raimi again on Spider-Man 4and he thinks it’s actually going to happen!

“(With) Sandman, there have been rumors that they might ask me to do another Spider-Man, and I’ll do it tomorrow,” Chuch explained to ComicBook.com. “You know, they never asked me to appear in another movie, another Marvel movie.”

“But, you know, I think Sam (Raimi) is going to do another Spider-Man with Tobey (Maguire), and that’s the one that… they had the option for me to do Spider-Man 4 whereas There was going to be a Spider-Man 4. They had the possibility of coming back to me. So if that happens, that would be fantastic. I’m getting a little older.

This isn’t the first time Thomas Haden Church has suggested Sam Raimi will be back for a while. Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire, having said it in July 2023. In a time where the MCU multiverse is bringing back everyone’s favorite childhood heroes, this isn’t out of reach either.

Tom Holland is rumored to have signed on for multiple appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Spider-Man: No Way Home. The future of the Spider-Man series is unclear at this time, but it’s likely Marvel will continue to explore it.the concept of the multiverse which was introduced in No way home.
