Residents resist in town near frontline of Kharkiv region


Russian bombings have reduced the town of Lyman in eastern Ukraine to rubble, but a handful of residents are resisting and living in underground shelters. Some continue to maintain the local church while Ukrainian soldiers remain vigilant. Lyman’s location on key routes makes it an important payoff as Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine enters its third year.
