Moto X50 Ultra teaser shows the design and could also launch as Motorola Edge 50 Pro


The Moto X50 Ultra might be revealed soon as the phone was recently officially unveiled. The company’s teaser hinted at the design of the phone, which will likely be different from the look of previous models. Not much is known about the phone at the moment, but it looks like it will launch globally with slight changes and a different moniker. It should be accompanied by improvements compared to the last Moto X-series model, the Motorcycle X40which was unveiled in December 2023.

In the teaser video shared by Motorola in a Weibo job, the upcoming Moto X50 Ultra is shown juxtaposed with clips of Formula 1, hinting at the racing event serving as inspiration, perhaps in terms of design. The company also introduced the phone as an “AI mobile phone” (translated from Chinese). So we can expect it to be packed with AI-based features. The company is yet to confirm the launch timeline or any other details regarding the phone. Notably, the Moto X40 lineup did not include a Moto X40 Pro or Moto X40 Ulta model.

In the video above, we see the Moto X50 Ultra with a black faux leather finish. A rectangular rear camera module appears on the upper left corner of the rear panel with a glossy finish. The Moto X50 Ultra is expected to launch globally, with some modifications, like the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, according to Sparrow News report States. However, a report from GSMArena Remarks that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is likely to be a rebrand of a vanilla Moto X50 model, if at all. The base Moto Edge 40 Pro was launched worldwide with some minor changes compared to the Moto X40 model.
