Kevin Bacon Amazon Series ‘The Bondsman’ Adds Four to Cast (EXCLUSIVE)

The next Amazon Prime Video series “The Bondsman” with Kevin Bacon added four new actors, Variety learned exclusively.

Beth Grant (“No Country For Old Men,” “Donnie Darko”), Damon Herriman (“Once Upon A Time in Hollywood,” “Justified”), Maxwell Jenkins (“Arcadian,” “Lost In Space”) and Jolene Purdy (“The White Lotus,” “Orange Is The New Black”) have all joined the series in regular roles. In addition to Bacon, they join previously announced cast member Jennifer Nettles.

“The Bondman” was ordered directly in series on Prime Video in June 2023 for eight half-hour episodes. The official paper says it focuses on Hub Halloran (Bacon), “an outback bounty hunter who returns from the dead with an unexpected second chance at life, love and a music career almost forgotten – only to discover that her old job now has a new demonic twist.

Grant will play Kitty, Hub Halloran’s mother. Herriman will appear as Lucky, described as “the owner of a successful country music club, who is in a relationship with Maryanne (Nettles), Hub’s ex-wife.”

Jenkins will play Cade, Hub and Maryanne’s son. Purdy is set to play Midge, who is “tired of the quiet seriousness of someone who has learned the hard way how to hold her own in a world dominated by men.” Midge may appear modest, but she is actually a secret emissary.

Grant is replaced by Buchwald. Herriman is repped by Independent Artist Group and Art/Work Entertainment in the United States, and in Australia by Lisa Mann Creative Management. Jenkins is repped by Gilbertson Entertainment, Innovative Artists and Myman Greenspan. Purdy is repped by Apparent Motion and Integral Artists.

Grainger David created “The Bondsman” and serves as executive producer. Erik Oleson is the executive producer and showrunner through his company Crimethink. Bacon will serve as executive producer in addition to playing the lead role. Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold and Chris Dickie are executive producers of Blumhouse Television. CrimeThink’s Paul Shapiro also serves as executive producer.
