The 35-page filing accused Diddy of sexually assaulting Cassandra Ventura multiple times after allegedly coercing her into a relationship. Cassie and Diddy release statements after settlement

Amidst the news of settle the lawsuitCassie and Diddy released statements via The New York Times.

“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably provided that I have some level of control,” Cassie told the New York Times in a statement. “I want to thank my family, fans and attorneys for their continued support.”

Diddy told the outlet via a statement:

“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”

In an additional statement to The Shade Room, the producer’s attorney said the following:

“To be clear, the decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit in no way calls into question his categorical denial of the claims. He is happy that they reached a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.

It is unclear for exactly how much the two elders settled the lawsuit for.

However, after denying Cassie’s allegations, a lawyer for Diddy accused Cassie of wanting a “paycheck.”

“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” Diddy’s attorney, Ben Brafman, said on November 16. “Over the past 6 months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to the persistent demand for $30 million of dollars from Ms. Ventura, under threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally dismissed as blatant blackmail.

Meanwhile, her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, said Diddy once proposed to Cassie “eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of” his trial. However, she had “rejected his efforts.”
