Caitlin Clark reveals why she takes time to interact with young fans: ‘Super important’

Caitlin Clark is one of the most popular athletes in the world and will only get bigger as she begins her professional basketball career in the WNBA on Monday, starting with the draft.

Clark set records everywhere NCAA Division 1 Basketball during the 2023-24 season, his last with Iowa. Her games were filled with electric 3-pointers, some from midcourt, and they were accompanied by screaming fans trying to witness a greatness that women’s basketball may never have seen.

The former Hawkeyes star has been seen before or after games, interacting with fans and signing autographs. She emphasized the importance of doing so in an interview on “Today” on NBC.

“The people I idolized in my life were either professional basketball players or professional soccer players, and that’s what I wanted growing up,” Clark said. “And I think it’s extremely important to understand the impact that this can have on a young girl’s life.

“I always try to give them as much time as possible. And just seeing them scream your name or wear your jersey, it’s something that never gets old.”

THE Indiana fever Clark was expected to be taken as the first overall pick in the draft. Clark set the all-time NCAA Division I basketball record this year. Iowa fell short in the national championship to Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks.
