“I’d like to give some context to this meme,” she said, adding that she attended the game with her boyfriend, Klutch Sports founder Rich Paul.

“I know it sounds crazy, but I really don’t like being famous, do you?” So obviously, I know sitting on the court at a basketball game, you ask for it, whatever, but Rich, it was like working in the room and you know, he was talking to the players and to people, and I was fine.

She added with a laugh: “I was there by myself, like I was looking for Michael Jordan, to be honest with you.”

Adele later revealed that the cameramen had violated her wishes.

“But the people with the camera came and asked me twice: they said, ‘Do you mind if we film you, can we put you on screen?'”

The singer said she politely asked not to do so after she had just postponed her Las Vegas residency.

“They came back and filmed me,” Adèle said.

“So the reason my lips look like they had fillers — because I have really big lips, I don’t need fillers — the reason I looked like a different person was because I was pouting .

“I was like, ‘These bastards came back and filmed me against my will,’ so I (made a face). I didn’t realize they were showing it on TV. I thought it was just in the room.

She concluded: “Plus, my face is just very memorable. I can do nothing.
